Interior Photos of the Day… Opulence OTP

I know, I know… It’s been a while since I posted images from any recent shoots.  I know that you wake up every day and say to yourself, “Self, I just don’t know how I’m going to go on without any new posts from APP.”  Well, I understand your plight.  I wouldn’t want to go a day without them either.  But, rest assured that I am working hard to make each and every one of your days bright with interior photography…

Here are a few spaces from a recent shoot courtesy of Cari Engert at Keller Williams Realty.  I was trying to find words to describe the interior of this home, and opulence was the word that kept floating to the top.  Let us know what you think!edit

Interior Photo(s) of the Day… Milton Modern Victorian

Atlanta is a fantastic area to find truly unique architectural styles.  Even though most of the antebellum buildings were destroyed when Sherman came through, modern architects have created homes and structures that echo that history, and pull from other eras also.  The farther you get from the center of Atlanta though, the more difficult it is to find homes that fall entirely into one style.   This home is one of those.

While I want to call it a Victorian, it doesn’t really have that feel throughout.  You can see the influences, but the home doesn’t really wade fully into the Victorian pool.  It is a bit more modern in places, and even has some Craftsman thrown in for taste.  It was a blast to shoot, and I want to thank  John Cook with Keller Williams for the opportunity.  Comment below and let us know what you think!

Photos of the Day…All-American Portraits

In case you have never heard of it, there is a thing called a ‘styled’ shoot.  Generally it is a photo shot that is designed to showcase a particular style or theme, and all of the images in the shoot follow that theme.  They are fun, they tend to produce amazing results, and one often has the opportunity to work with some very creative and talented and creative people.  This shoot wasn’t one of those…

BUT, (you should never start a sentence with but…) it had nearly every aspect of a styled shoot.  A great subject or model, a very interesting theme to photograph, and a unique location.  It just so happens that all of this came from a normal portrait shoot.  It ended up being a very all-American-like theme, and there wasn’t enough time to shoot all of the ideas we had.  Thanks so much to Kristal for being such a great sport….in 30 degree weather in Oklahoma nonetheless…

Interior Photos of the Day: Expanded Kitchen…Kade Homes

Here’s a new one courtesy of Kade Homes.  We do a lot of work with them, and it’s a good thing…because they create great spaces to photograph.  This was an expansion of an existing kitchen.  Everything you see is new space.  The wall was punched out to contain the new counters, cabinets, and appliances, and the old kitchen was converted into a dining/living space.  The bathroom was also an addition.  Imagine unfinished attic space…  Dan Cipriani over at Kade makes it look easy.  As always, let us know what you think!

Have a great weekend!Mount-Hope-(1-of-1)Mount-Hope-(1-of-4)Mount-Hope-(3-of-4)
